The main event of the day was a trip to Universal Studios.
Let the fun commence!
By complete coincidence, Angela, Colin and Elliot were
in L.A. at the same time as us so we'd arranged to spend the day together.....
We took the studio tour
The tour took us around working studios and TV and film
sets.....
And we were shown a few special effects like this "flash
flood on demand"....
This is the set of TV show Desperate Housewives (one
of Marina's favourite shows)
And this is the set of Hitchcock's "Psycho"
Spielberg used a real aircraft to create this disaster
scene for War of the Worlds
Guess what? It was a hot day. Not tha twe knew what
"hot" was at this stage of the holiday!

On the set of Backdraft. When the explosions started
it was *really* hot!
The day's grand finale was the WaterWorld spectacular
show....
Note the aircraft which "flew" in and crashed!
