Monday 7th August 2006 - Sorrento and a day of fun and relaxation

We decided that after all our sight seeing and travelling, we all could do with a day of relaxation and play. So we went to the "beach" at the camp site and swam in the sea, played in the pool, ate, drank, read our books.... and of course played cards! Oh, and gelato was consumed too.

In the afternoon, we caught bus into Sorrento and wandered around the narrow backstreets. And had more gelato!

You could get into the sea from some steps. It was about 12 feet deep pretty much immediately but very easy to swim in

The "beach" was actually a large shelf of rock. Much better than sand in some ways....

Back at the camp site's pool and it's time to throw that ball around...
