We awoke very early to torrential rain (just for a change). Taking advantage of this, and moderately concerned that we still had a ferry crossing to take before we were on the mainland and able to board our flight, we got up early, at about 6am, packed up in the wet and headed for the port at Victoria. We just caught the 8am ferry and went immediately to the cafe to get breakfast.
The crossing was uneventful and we arrived on schedule in Vancouver. We now had several hours to kill though before we'd be able to check in. So we drove around a bit and, unable to think of anything better to do, found ourselves at a nature reserve where we read our books and walked a short and easy trail. Eventually though, it was time to go to the airport.
And that.... is that. All that was left was to board our plane and fly home. The flight left at 17:50 and took 8 hours 55 minutes, arriving in London at around 11am. Martin and Bekky sat together and kept themselves entertained, sleeping very little.
And thus ends the 2007 summer holiday travelogue!
