Following on from last year's triumphant 2008 trip to North Wales, Martin and Paul this year chose Cornwall as the destination for their annual climbing week. In all, 4 crags were climbed at; Aire Point, Bosigran main cliff, Sennen and Bosigran Ridge (AKA Commando Ridge). For Martin, the highlights were easily Doorpost and Doorway at the excellent Bosigran main cliff.

Walking in to Aires Point with the beach at Whitesand Bay in the background. At the top of the selected route, An Gof (Severe). You can't see it but both Martin's hands were bleeding due to the razor sharp granite!

Day 2 - Bosigran Main CliffPaul on pitch 1 of Doorpost

Climbers on Doorway and Doorpost. Martin was about to lead the last pitch of Doorway right up that faceObligatory photo of "Martin's foot whilst belaying" from the top of Doorway

Day 3 : Sennen. Started with a walk along the beautiful beach.

Paul sorting out the ropes at the top of the only route we climbed that day, a short single pitch thing. This was supposed to be a rest day after the exertions of Bosigran the day before.Sennen harbourDay 4 : Bosigran ("Commando") Ridge. View of Bosigran main cliff across the zawn. The ridge was used to train commandos prior to the D day landings. The foot of pitch one had waves breaking over it so Martin climbed an alternate route up to the top of pitch 2 on the ridge proper.
